Base Salary
$114k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software and firmware through the full software development life cycle.
- Plan, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software projects.
- Design device drivers, low-level device interfaces, software architectures, module interfaces, and hardware-integrated CI/CD systems.
- Design and document flexible test infrastructure and high-quality software design documentation.
- Research complex technical issues, propose technical approaches, and provide technical ownership of software products.
- Use debuggers, profilers, unit testing, source control, and related tools to improve productivity and code quality.
- Collaborate with test engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software within schedule constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related technical experience, master’s degree with 7+ years, or doctorate degree with 2+ years.
- BA or BS in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Knowledge of embedded software system design, C, C++, structured software development, debuggers and ICE, RTOS, device drivers, low-level device interfaces, microprocessor architecture, SPI, UART, and device memory management.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket CI, and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Python, RF communication including Bluetooth and NFC, assembly language, and PC application DLLs.
