Responsibilities

Design and build custom software in Go to improve platform reliability, resiliency, and redundancy.
Partner with engineering teams to apply reliability principles and improve availability, performance, and observability.
Identify infrastructure and observability improvements and implement solutions within the product.
Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation during standard local working hours to troubleshoot, mitigate, or escalate production incidents.
Develop and refine SRE tooling, automation, and operational processes.
Define, document, and champion reliability best practices across the organization.

Proven experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications in a production environment with substantial autonomy.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Go, with the ability to build custom applications rather than only scripts.
Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and ArgoCD.
Demonstrable expertise with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, SQL and NoSQL databases, and networking fundamentals.
Understanding of SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
Experience participating in an on-call rotation for a 24/7 cloud-based environment.
Strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, collaboration, and self-direction skills in a remote distributed team.
