Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns and developing standard operating procedures.
- Enhance and maintain existing applications and codebases and conduct peer code reviews.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams to implement technical designs.
- Investigate and apply relevant new technologies.
- Assist customer support with technical problems and questions.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews and mentor less experienced developers when needed.
- Drive technical decisions and project outcomes with independent judgment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Java full-stack development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
- Strong object-oriented design and SOA principles, preferably implemented with Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, software security tools, shell scripting, cloud or AI modernization, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains is preferred or advantageous.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
