Security Engineer III
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software and tooling solutions for cloud security.
- Build solutions for cloud governance, protection, auditing, monitoring, remediation, and reporting.
- Design and improve scalable services as the firm’s public cloud usage grows.
- Engage across the full service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Perform design and code reviews and manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Apply automation, reuse-first, and AI-assisted practices to security testing and control validation while ensuring traceability, auditability, and appropriate data handling.
- Partner with lines of business and functional teams to design, adopt, and integrate appropriate cloud security controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and EKS.
- Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience developing enterprise software and proficiency in multiple technologies, preferably Python.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
- Cybersecurity knowledge involving vulnerability and misconfiguration risk, infrastructure-as-code, security posture management, and threat detection is preferred.
- Experience with Azure, GCP, or other public cloud environments is preferred.
- AWS Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification is preferred.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and security recommendations, follow security and data-handling requirements, and escalate when uncertain.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
