Responsibilities
- Build APIs for intuitive interaction with complex data.
- Design secure, scalable access control systems for mission-critical environments.
- Orchestrate workflows for graph analytics, inference, and real-time insights.
- Optimize application performance and collaborate with engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Contribute to architecture and technical design.
- Own work from ideation through deployment in a remote-first team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in backend systems and large-scale, complex applications.
- Fluency in Java and strong modern software engineering knowledge, including advanced debugging, profiling, and maintainable, testable code.
- Experience with Spring or similar frameworks for secure, modular, and scalable APIs.
- Experience designing relational data models, such as PostgreSQL, and ideally graph-based data models using Neo4j or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.
- Practical knowledge of secure software design and common vulnerabilities such as OWASP.
- Preferred familiarity with Cypher, Neo4j, knowledge graphs, event-driven architectures, Kafka, distributed systems, cloud-native development, observability, performance tuning, and LLM or AI/ML production integrations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams using asynchronous communication practices.
