Responsibilities
- Design and evolve large-scale Kubernetes-based infrastructure platforms for microservices, big data, and AI/LLM workloads.
- Optimize Kubernetes control-plane and data-plane performance, including pod lifecycle, resource orchestration, and system throughput.
- Build observability and performance-analysis frameworks, define Kubernetes system-level SLOs, and lead production tuning initiatives.
- Develop unified resource management and scheduling systems at node and cluster level for heterogeneous compute environments.
- Standardize and optimize container runtime environments for workload isolation, reliability, and resource efficiency.
- Work with global business leaders to scale and optimize compute infrastructure across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
- Contribute to open-source infrastructure projects in the Kubernetes and serverless ecosystems.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Ph.D. degree with strong publication records may be accepted as an exception.
- Solid understanding of at least one of Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, high-performance networking systems, or large-scale software development.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language, including Python, Go, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Knowledge of big data or machine learning workflows in Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience contributing to cloud-native open-source projects is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with containerized applications through internships, coursework, or personal projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or distributed tracing systems is preferred.
