Responsibilities
- Own engineering and supporting components for enterprise job scheduling platforms.
- Plan and execute platform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, capacity management, high availability, disaster recovery, and lifecycle activities.
- Develop and maintain enterprise scheduling standards, procedures, controls, and engineering practices.
- Automate, monitor, and continuously improve platform reliability, supportability, and efficiency.
- Onboard, migrate, and integrate application workloads onto enterprise scheduling platforms.
- Ensure platform compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, audit expectations, and internal policies.
- Identify risks and vulnerabilities, coordinate remediation, and support risk acceptance processes.
- Manage controlled change implementation with Change Management and Infrastructure teams.
- Provide technical guidance for complex scheduling, infrastructure, configuration, integration, and platform incidents.
- Partner with application owners, production support, vendors, Infrastructure teams, Change Management, and senior management stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise job scheduling, workload automation, platform engineering, or related infrastructure services in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production platforms with high-availability, resiliency, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with enterprise workload automation or job scheduling platforms such as Control-M, HCL Workload Automation, Automic Automation, or equivalent is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with platform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, capacity planning, disaster recovery, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, databases, networking, security controls, certificates, and automation or scripting technologies.
- Experience with workload onboarding, scheduling design, application integration, platform migration, and production implementation.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, audits, process governance, platform risk management, vulnerability remediation, and risk acceptance.
- Ability to establish technical standards, operating procedures, controls, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, communication, stakeholder coordination, and consultative skills.
