Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs for enterprise financial applications.
  • Design and implement a complex hierarchical system while preserving backward compatibility with legacy structures.
  • Lead API integration planning and execution across multiple teams.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, analysts, designers, and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to front-end integration using React.js or similar frameworks.
  • Ensure production-ready code quality and adherence to security and compliance standards.
  • Identify technical needs, propose solutions, and guide team members on best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend/API development.
  • Expertise developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with microservice architecture and containerized deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.
  • Experience integrating RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Exposure to streaming platforms such as Kafka.
  • Proficiency with Maven, Jenkins, and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation standards.
  • Experience integrating APIs with modern JavaScript single-page applications, preferably React.js.
  • Understanding of cloud-agnostic design principles, hybrid environments, agile development, and DevOps principles.
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical planning efforts, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
