Responsibilities
- Develop test code supporting reliability test automation suites.
- Update and maintain the reliability lab database and software.
- Gather and document requirements through consultation with users and developers.
- Apply software design and testing best practices, including object-oriented programming, code reuse, and design for testability and support.
- Assist with component qualification verification tests such as HAST.
- Collect and analyze data, compare results with vendor-submitted data, characterize failures, and prepare reports.
Requirements
- Be a third- or fourth-year student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering.
- Be registered full-time or part-time at a post-secondary institution.
- Have experience with database management or related tools such as Visual Studio 2017 or higher, VB.NET or C#, XML, and/or SQL.
- Have experience in automation and an understanding of optical systems and optical instruments.
- Demonstrate organization, motivation, attention to detail, effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a highly technical, multiproject environment.
- Be eligible to complete a background check.
