Responsibilities
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, automated tests, and regression tests.
- Test web application functionality, REST APIs, databases, integrations, and end-to-end workflows.
- Develop automated tests and perform database testing using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects.
- Troubleshoot application behavior, API responses, database data, and application logs.
- Participate in code reviews and provide software quality and maintainability feedback.
- Work with developers to investigate and resolve defects.
- Use Docker and containerized applications in development and testing environments.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university or college program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Understanding of fundamental software development and software testing concepts.
- Basic programming experience in C#, JavaScript, Python, or a similar modern programming language.
- Ability to write and understand SQL queries and basic understanding of relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with web applications, HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, and Git/source control.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Availability for a full-time 12-month position.
- Desired experience includes ASP.NET Core, .NET, HTML, CSS, Postman, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, Docker Compose, CI/CD pipelines, Azure, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum development practices.
