Base Salary

$98k - $152k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop C++ navigation and state-estimation software for experimental VTOL and CTOL aircraft.
  • Design and implement multi-sensor fusion algorithms using inertial, air data, perception, and external sensor inputs.
  • Develop navigation infrastructure, including transform trees, calibration pipelines, and state-estimation frameworks.
  • Create C++ and Python simulation and analysis tools to evaluate navigation performance and algorithm robustness.
  • Integrate perception outputs into flight controls and mission-management systems.
  • Formulate and execute tests for navigation accuracy, robustness, and performance, and support aircraft flight testing.
  • Collaborate with perception, controls, and autonomy engineers on navigation and estimation architectures.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Kalman filtering, nonlinear filtering, or factor-graph-based state estimation.
  • Experience writing real-time and safety-critical C++ flight software.
  • Deep knowledge of multi-sensor fusion systems or state-estimation pipelines.
  • Professional experience writing C++ and Python.
  • Experience developing simulation or analysis tools for dynamic systems.
  • Experience with real-time signal processing.
  • Must qualify as a US Person under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 to meet US export-control requirements.
