Responsibilities
- Perform requirements-based testing of powered network systems and Ethernet switch software against system and interface requirements.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware test stands and laboratory testing environments.
- Write and maintain Python automated test scripts within the existing test framework.
- Capture, analyze, and monitor network traffic for functionality, timing, latency, throughput, redundancy, and robustness.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues and document and drive defects to resolution.
- Improve test infrastructure and recommend process improvements within the certified framework.
- Coordinate with development and hardware teams to isolate software and hardware issues.
- Document lab environments, test procedures, and automation infrastructure for certification and configuration management.
- Report defects, code coverage, and other quality metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent, with five or more years of industry experience in Quality Assurance, Software Verification, or Test Engineering.
- An advanced degree with three or more years of industry experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrable experience with requirements-based testing methodologies.
- Expert-level Python skills applied to software testing and verification.
- Working knowledge of C++ sufficient to read and understand embedded software and support C++-based test cases.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and experience testing or developing software for network devices.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, network traffic analyzers, and performance testing tools such as iperf, Aukua, Ixia, and Spirent.
- Experience with project management, bug tracking, and continuous integration tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, and TeamCity.
- Embedded systems testing experience and Linux system administration and scripting experience.
- Preferred qualifications include DO-178C certification testing, Agile development, unit testing, test-driven development, BDD, Gherkin, Docker, CI/CD practices, modern IDEs/debuggers, and embedded software concepts such as signal analysis, processor timing, and memory allocation.

- Target base pay is $146,600–$199,000 per year, supplemented by Restricted Stock Units.
