Base Salary
$88k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Gather customer requirements, understand business logic, and create technical design documents.
- Develop and support web-based software applications, interfaces, business logic, databases, and client/server solutions.
- Improve user experience while optimizing code performance and scalability.
- Use version control systems and contribute to deployment processes and automation.
- Develop and execute unit, regression, and smoke tests.
- Evaluate system interfaces and functional and performance requirements with customers and the product development team.
- Create and maintain code comments, user guides, API documentation, and other technical documentation.
- Apply software security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities and support regulatory compliance.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least four years of experience implementing and deploying medium to large systems.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, Oracle 19c or MySQL, Spring or Spring Boot, JPA, JDBC, Tomcat, and related development tools.
- Experience with server and web client technologies, distributed systems, technical design documentation, troubleshooting, and software issue resolution.
- Experience with development and testing tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, SQL Developer, Maven, Cucumber, Shell Script, SVN, or Git.
- Experience working with Linux and Windows development platforms.
- Experience with formal development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must be located in Maricopa County, Arizona, or willing to relocate there; electrical energy industry knowledge is desirable.
