Base Salary
$119k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop internal and external software applications independently or as part of a team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Design, create, and update SQL databases and optimize T-SQL queries.
- Develop web services and integrate new technologies with existing applications.
- Create test cases, conduct code reviews, and prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation.
- Lead development efforts, serve as a subject matter expert, and recommend improvements to existing software.
- Mentor Level I and II developers and communicate regularly with management, technical support colleagues, and business units.
- Support healthcare plan operations and department business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Seven years of experience developing multi-tiered applications and seven years of SQL Server development experience are required.
- Five years of experience with software architecture and design concepts are required.
- Experience transforming requirements into design concepts and ERDs is required.
- Experience developing web services across SOAP, REST, WSDL, JSON, and MSMQ protocols is required.
- Strong knowledge of database structures, software engineering practices, source control, build processes, testing, and operations is required.
- Proficiency with C#, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server is required.
- Healthcare systems and healthcare databases experience is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills are required.
