Responsibilities
- Design and build future-proof solutions while considering system-wide impact.
- Develop significant features from conception and architecture through implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Estimate, plan, track, and manage progress, risks, and dependencies with senior engineers.
- Gather and refine requirements and release software in a timely manner.
- Work with technical support to identify, reproduce, and remediate bugs.
- Build and deliver features using agentic tooling, including custom skills, agents, and harnesses.
- Improve prompts, skills, workflows, evaluation practices, and the AI-enabled developer experience.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related qualification, or commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- At least five years of hands-on commercial .NET programming experience using C#, including ASP.NET MVC.
- Experience with design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented design, web services using Web API, database design and development, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic engineering workflows, with willingness to work primarily through agents.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and source control tools such as TFS, SVN, or Git.
- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Preferred experience includes Azure Functions and Queues, custom agent skills, harnesses, MCP servers, prompt libraries, AI code evaluations and guardrails, testing methodologies, Lean software development, CI/CD systems, Bootstrap, .NET Core, Entity Framework Code First migrations, Claude or Claude Code, and financial services.
