Responsibilities
- Develop mission-critical in-vehicle applications and user interfaces for Rivian infotainment experiences.
- Create progressive, intuitive, and reliable applications for in-vehicle user experiences.
- Collaborate with UX/UI and Studio teams to integrate 2D and 3D content into vehicle interfaces.
- Test the in-vehicle experience in laboratories and Rivian prototype vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues discovered during testing.
- Research new technologies and interfaces.
- Collaborate across divisions on technology roadmaps, portfolios, and intellectual property.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development lifecycle experience from requirements gathering through implementation and maintenance.
- 7+ years of experience with C++, Rust, Java, or Kotlin.
- Experience with Android application frameworks.
- Experience with Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS).
- Preferred: knowledge of functional safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and automotive software development best practices.
- Preferred: experience with Qt, including Qt Safe Renderer, in an automotive environment.
- Preferred: deep understanding of user-friendly, immersive, and reactive user interface development.
