Responsibilities

  • Own backend services, frontend services, fleet-management systems, networking systems, core services, and infrastructure supporting Meta products and AI initiatives.
  • Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug complex live-production problems.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers on systems deployed to production and used by billions of people.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking bachelor’s or master’s program in computer science or a related field.
  • Have experience with a *nix operating system such as Linux, BSDs, or Solaris, or with Windows.
  • Have coding experience in at least one language.
  • Have one or more years of experience with new development languages including Python, Hack/PHP, C++, Java, Rust, or GoLang.
  • Obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
  • Intend to return to a full-time degree program after completing the internship.
  • Preferred: understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and internet service architectures such as load balancing, LAMP, and CDNs.

Benefits

  • Monthly compensation is listed at $7,313 to $11,293, plus benefits.
  • Internship position with an expectation of returning to a full-time degree program after completion.
