Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate distributed Go microservices and low-latency media pipelines.
- Build integrations across communication technologies, streaming protocols, and enterprise contact-center platforms.
- Lead projects from architecture and technical design through implementation, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Diagnose distributed-systems issues using logs, metrics, traces, and system tests, and improve reliability, capacity, and security.
- Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Collaborate with Product, System Test, Infrastructure, SRE, and analytics teams on data ingestion.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation after training and production-readiness onboarding.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building and operating distributed backend services in production.
- Strong proficiency in Go or a comparable compiled language, with Linux/Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance-tuning fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or CDK, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex distributed-systems issues, including production on-call support.
- Preferred experience with SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, or GStreamer.
- Preferred experience integrating telephony, contact-center, CPaaS, or meeting platforms such as Amazon Connect, Genesys, Zoom, Teams, or Webex.
- Preferred experience with Apache Kafka or MSK, distributed caching, REST or gRPC APIs, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Familiarity with security best practices in compliance-sensitive cloud environments is preferred.
