Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for aerospace systems.
- Define software requirements and specifications with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and support embedded software using C++.
- Follow software lifecycle processes and guidelines for DO-178 projects.
- Conduct software integration, testing, debugging, and quality verification.
- Support certification activities such as TSO, STC, and type certification.
- Consult on hardware architecture and options to optimize system performance.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering or software development experience is required.
- Expertise in embedded C/C++ engineering and design in an aerospace or avionics environment is required.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is valued.
- Experience with software integration and testing, EGPWS or TAWS, DO-178B/C, DO-160, avionics development tools, software architecture, and certification activities is valued.
- Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, DOORS, CC/CQ, and TeamCenter is valued.
- Candidates must meet U.S. Person/export-control requirements and be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, prioritization, initiative, and independent-working skills are valued.
