Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications for aerospace systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
- Develop embedded software using C++.
- Follow software lifecycle processes and guidelines for projects assigned to DO-178.
- Conduct software testing and debugging to ensure quality deliverables.
- Support software integration, architecture, and aerospace certification activities.
- Consult on hardware architecture and options to optimize system performance.
- Travel up to 10%.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering or software development experience is required.
- Expertise in embedded C/C++ engineering and design in an aerospace or avionics environment is required.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is valued.
- Experience with EGPWS or TAWS, DO-178 B/C, DO-160, avionics development tools, software architecture, hardware architecture, and certification activities is valued.
- Experience with software integration and testing is valued.
- Candidates must be a U.S. Person or have the ability to obtain export authorization.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States.
