Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build software tools and infrastructure for robot testing and evaluation.
- Write scripts and repeatable test workflows across hardware and software systems.
- Support benchmarking for teleoperation, robot behavior, and AI policy performance.
- Collect, organize, and analyze test data and improve internal test-system reliability, automation, and usability.
- Set priorities and technical direction for the test team.
- Coordinate test execution, unblock the team, and support evaluation, demos, and deployments.
- Work with test technicians, mechanical designers, and robotics engineers.
- Grow the test team and its infrastructure as testing scales to larger environments and pilot deployments.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to build clean, practical tools for internal technical users.
- Comfort working close to hardware and debugging system-level issues.
- Ability to write reliable scripts and automation for repeatable testing.
- Ability to set team direction and manage multiple workstreams in parallel.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration across software, hardware, and test teams.
- Experience leading a team or owning a technical workstream end to end is preferred.
- Experience with robotics, hardware systems, embedded-adjacent tooling, test infrastructure, internal tools, evaluation frameworks, data logging, experiment tracking, or result analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with Python and common robotics or automation workflows is preferred.
