Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, test, troubleshoot, document, and maintain computer applications and utility software.
- Analyze user needs, define requirements, design software solutions, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Perform software architecture, systems modeling, database analysis, implementation, integration testing, and full-lifecycle application engineering.
- Translate detailed designs into software, develop logic flows and specifications, and debug and refine applications.
- Prepare program-level and user-level documentation, manuals, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Support software operating systems, applications, cloud-related services, and network-system integration.
- Analyze and document client needs, participate in meetings and presentations, and serve as a client liaison.
- Provide technical direction, train software engineers, enforce established standards, and lead tasks or software-system delivery when assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or at minimum an IT certification; qualifying education may be substituted with experience as stated in the posting.
- At least six years of experience in software requirements definition and management, design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, software development lifecycle, architecture, and documentation.
- At least six years of experience in Windows Azure software development and software design at the program or project level.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Certificate Services, Azure AD integrations, and other cloud-related services.
- At least six years of experience in an Agile DevSecOps software development environment and with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent tools.
- Experience with information-system design, application programming on large-scale database management systems, and complex software development.
- Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 1 determination for unclassified systems and hold a Secret Clearance.
