Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, test, troubleshoot, debug, refine, and maintain computer applications and specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs, functional requirements, business applications, software architecture, hardware limitations, and database requirements.
- Perform software design, coding, testing, systems modeling, database analysis, implementation, integration testing, and full lifecycle application engineering.
- Define complex design specifications, translate detailed designs into software, and resolve hardware/software compatibility and interface issues.
- Prepare and maintain program-level, user-level, technical, system, training, and SOP documentation.
- Research emerging technologies and assess their impact on application execution and integration.
- Provide technical direction and training to programmers and enforce established standards and technologies.
- Troubleshoot software operating system and application issues and provide customer support.
- Serve as a client liaison, participate in meetings, make client presentations, and document client needs.
- May lead tasks or teams and assume responsibility for software system or application design, development, testing, and delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer science, mathematics, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or at minimum an IT certification; stated education equivalency provisions also apply.
- At least six years of experience defining and managing software requirements, design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, software development lifecycle, architecture, and documentation.
- At least six years of experience in Windows Azure software development.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Certificate Services, Azure AD integrations, and other cloud-related services.
- At least six years of program- or project-level software design experience.
- At least six years of experience in an Agile DevSecOps software development environment and methodologies.
- At least six years of experience with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain a favorable Tier 1 determination for unclassified systems and a Secret clearance.
- Ability to plan, perform, and lead software design, coding, and testing.
