Responsibilities
- Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions aligned with business goals.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend applications and APIs using the Microsoft .NET technology stack, SQL, and other data tools.
- Build configurable and reusable services and frameworks for integrations and business processes rather than hard-coded implementations.
- Develop systems that standardize financial data movement across billing systems and improve visibility into payment-flow patterns, errors, and optimizations.
- Champion maintainable, well-tested code using separation of concerns, loose coupling, and established design patterns.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, and DBA teams to deliver production systems and participate in code reviews.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and development-ready specifications from requirements through delivery.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to accelerate software delivery, code review, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college or university.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience using strongly typed server-side languages such as C#, Go, Java, or TypeScript with Node.js.
- Strong experience with relational databases, including database design and performance optimization.
- Experience building scalable APIs and system integrations using APIs, message brokers, or event streams.
- Experience building configurable, reusable frameworks supporting multiple integrations or business processes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, infrastructure as code, automated deployment pipelines, and source control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with agentic engineering and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
- Preferred exposure to serverless computing and event-driven architecture, including RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus.
- Preferred familiarity with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred familiarity with Kibana, Datadog, and other observability or monitoring tools.
- Preferred experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, including relevance and index tuning.
- Databricks, Python, ETL processing, payments, or financial systems experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI copilots or agentic workflows for code generation, code review, and root-cause analysis.
- Demonstrated commitment to prior employers is required.
