Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance native Android applications and features using Kotlin.
- Write scalable, reusable, and maintainable code using MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Jetpack components.
- Develop unit, UI, and integration tests to maintain high code coverage and platform stability.
- Partner with Product Management, UI/UX Designers, QA, and backend platform teams to deliver intuitive Android user experiences.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, conduct code reviews, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
- Stay current with Android SDK capabilities, Material Design guidelines, and Google Play Store policies.
- Represent Docusign in the Android developer community through technical sharing, blog posts, or conference engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of overall software product development experience.
- 3+ years of experience writing native Android applications in Kotlin backed by enterprise cloud or SaaS services.
- Experience publishing and supporting production apps in the Google Play Store.
- Hands-on experience with the complete Android lifecycle, including Git, Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, and Google Play Console.
- Experience delivering software iteratively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Preferred: proficiency with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow and familiarity with Jetpack Compose.
- Preferred: experience building modular Android SDKs or reusable libraries.
- Preferred: familiarity with Java for maintaining and modernizing legacy Android codebases.
- Preferred: exposure to mobile security standards including data encryption, secure storage, and OAuth/SSO.
- Preferred: active personal app projects, open-source contributions, or a passion for UI/UX and Material Design.
