Responsibilities
- Apply data science, statistics, operations research, and machine learning methods to real-world business situations.
- Design, build, implement, and deploy scalable AI and analytics solutions.
- Partner with clients across regions, industries, and topics including climate change.
- Distill complex results and processes into simple, clear visualizations.
- Explain sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable manner.
- Work collaboratively with modern development tools and code.
- Develop thought leadership, scientific papers, and conference presentations for BCG X.
- Lead teams and manage projects in a client-facing environment.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university master's or PhD degree program in computer research science, data science, statistics, operations research, or a related field.
- Significant experience applying advanced analytics to business situations and synthesizing complex data.
- Deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical foundations.
- Ability to translate data science concepts into business implications for clients.
- Strong project management skills.
- Client-facing comfort, communication ability, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a bias toward action.
- Software development or DevOps experience is a bonus.
