Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable and maintainable backend systems.
- Partner across the company to create scalable feed and browse solutions.
- Support technological initiatives end to end with software development.
- Prototype new software ideas for extreme scale.
- Develop product features for high-quality Discovery experiences.
- Build and maintain a low latency feed and browse experience.
- Create software services for advanced recommendation systems.
- Collaborate with machine learning, platform, and product engineering teams.
- Define and advance the company’s technical approach to recommendation systems.
- Utilize cloud computing platforms and managed services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Five years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation.
- Experience leading initiatives across multiple product areas.
- Knowledge in machine learning fields: Recommendations, Content Understanding, and Model Inferencing.
- Proficiency in designing and building scalable backend systems.
- Familiarity with visualization tools like DataDog or Grafana.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and services such as S3, EC2, ECS, AWS Sagemaker, Lambda, Kafka, and Flink/Spark.
