Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production-grade AI agents, context pipelines, and applied AI services.
- Make architecture decisions covering framework selection, orchestration patterns, and memory strategies.
- Define evaluation criteria and implement frameworks covering quality, safety, fairness, and compliance.
- Translate business needs into practical AI solutions with product and business stakeholders.
- Make build-versus-reuse decisions and contribute reusable components, standards, and engineering patterns.
- Write clean, testable Python code and use AI-assisted engineering tools effectively.
- Maintain production reliability, monitor cloud and API resource usage, and support incident response.
- Identify and escalate architectural, data, compliance, and responsible AI risks.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and participate in architecture and design reviews.
Requirements
- Strong Python engineering skills and a record of writing clean, testable, production-quality code.
- Proven experience delivering production large language model applications, such as AI agents or advanced context pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.
- A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- A demonstrable portfolio of production AI or large language model engineering work.
- Preferred: experience with context engineering, including chunking, embedding selection, hybrid search, re-ranking, knowledge graphs, and prompt construction.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with agent orchestration frameworks or direct implementation of agent loops through APIs.
- Preferred: experience building or consuming Model Context Protocol servers and production evaluation frameworks.
- Preferred: understanding of session, long-term, and semantic memory architectures.
- Preferred: AWS production operations experience, model fine-tuning, voice solutions, AWS certification, regulated-industry experience, and AI data-protection or customer-outcome knowledge.
