Responsibilities
- Build and ship Priceline’s native iOS app for hotel, rental car, and air travel booking.
- Develop fast, stable, and efficient solutions using Apple’s latest iOS SDK and core iOS technologies.
- Create A/B tests to improve the consumer mobile experience.
- Architect modular iOS codebases and conceptualize, build, test, and release products.
- Collaborate with native engineering teams, product managers, designers, and UI/UX specialists.
- Maintain and improve code involving Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, and legacy Objective-C.
- Mentor and coach other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping native iOS applications.
- Experience with at least one large-scale, high-traffic application live on the App Store.
- Expert knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, the iOS SDK, and Xcode.
- Ability to read and maintain legacy Objective-C code.
- Experience architecting modular iOS codebases using approaches such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and independent SPM packages with semantic versioning.
- Familiarity with consuming Kotlin Multiplatform shared modules through XCFrameworks or SPM is preferred.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, unit testing, data structures, and concurrent development.
- Familiarity with iOS CI/CD, CircleCI, TestFlight distribution, code signing, and feature-flag-driven release practices such as LaunchDarkly.
- Demonstrated integrity, ethics, accountability, customer focus, innovation, and teamwork.
