Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable core services and backend platform components.
- Architect and maintain reliable asynchronous architectures using event streaming and workflow orchestration.
- Own the evolution of enterprise-grade authentication and authorization frameworks.
- Design, optimize, and scale complex backend data platforms and document-based storage systems.
- Establish coding patterns and architectural standards while mentoring engineers.
- Collaborate with Product, Security, and Core Infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend engineering and distributed systems.
- Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript and experience with Temporal, Kafka, MongoDB, and AWS.
- Proven experience delivering architectural solutions in fast-paced Series B or C environments.
- Strong background in the B2B SaaS space with a track record of building scalable platforms.
- Demonstrated success in building complex data pipelines and high-availability core services.
- Profile centered on core backend application architecture rather than frontend or DevOps.
- Effective communicator capable of influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
