Senior Staff Forward Deployed Engineer - Enterprise Apps, AI
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Embed with functional departments to understand workflows, pain points, and ambiguous business needs.
- Design and build full-stack custom applications using modern backend, frontend, AI, and internal platform technologies.
- Own delivery from technical architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, training, and handoff.
- Use AI coding assistants and iterate with stakeholders in near real time to accelerate development.
- Balance scope, speed, and quality while communicating technical trade-offs to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Partner with IT, Security, and Data teams to meet data security, compliance, and supportability standards.
- Create reusable components, patterns, and playbooks from engagements and share learnings with engineering, platform, product, and data teams.
- Measure success through production adoption and measurable business impact.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with the ability to architect, design, build, and ship full-stack applications.
- Deep proficiency in Python, Node.js/JavaScript, or a comparable modern backend language, plus strong React/TypeScript frontend capability.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants and LLM-based tools, including Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Expert understanding of APIs, webhooks, data structures, and integration patterns.
- Experience scoping ambiguous requests, managing expectations with senior non-technical stakeholders, and shipping production-grade software.
- Ability to operate autonomously across changing departments, priorities, and problem spaces.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to executives and engineers.
- Preferred experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, professional services, or startup generalist roles.
- Preferred exposure to enterprise security, compliance, or data governance requirements.
