Base Salary

$200k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship Python backend services that turn model outputs into recommendations with correctness and observability.
  • Build React interfaces that allow customers to review, edit, and approve recommendations.
  • Integrate Architect with the Haus platform by defining API contracts and handling failure modes.
  • Collaborate with product, science, and design teams to scope and prioritize product work.
  • Improve the codebase through tests, monitoring, and refactoring.
  • Use AI coding tools and explain how their output was verified.
  • Deploy, monitor, and operate services in production cloud environments.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience building and shipping production web applications and APIs.
  • Strong Python backend engineering skills, especially for service and integration work.
  • Working proficiency with React sufficient to build frontend features.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and data-heavy applications.
  • Comfort with cloud-native environments, with GCP preferred.
  • Experience using AI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Copilot and evaluating their output.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous, product-facing role and turn incomplete requests into scoped plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly.
  • Preferred experience with Meta Marketing API, Google Ads API, experimentation platforms, optimization or recommendation systems, earlier-stage startups, Flask, SQLAlchemy, or FastAPI.
