Responsibilities
- Interface with technical personnel and team members to finalize requirements.
- Write and review detailed specifications for moderately complex system components.
- Translate product requirements into software designs and implement software components.
- Build, maintain, and operate scalable data engineering pipelines and applications.
- Apply development processes, coding best practices, code reviews, and operational excellence practices.
- Resolve technical issues, complete bug fixes, and collaborate with distributed global engineering teams.
- Keep current with new technology developments and support developer experience improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on core Java coding experience with debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with data manipulation languages and understanding of data modeling principles and complex data models.
- Proficiency or familiarity with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .NET.
- Knowledge of data storage subsystems, code coverage, test-driven development, and software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Ability to write and review technical specifications, complete moderately complex bug fixes, and collaborate with internal and external technology resources.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
