Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure, focusing on Amazon EKS.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes across development and production environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform, Ansible, and related tools.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, networking, containers, and cloud services for availability and performance.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines and improve release cycles using Git, Flux, and Jenkins.
- Support portable edge-computing infrastructure in on-premise environments.
- Improve reliability, repeatability, performance, and deployment processes while participating in Agile development activities.
- Provide possible on-call support and stay current with DevOps, container orchestration, and cloud technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Mid-level candidates require 3 –8 years of relevant experience; senior-level candidates require 9–13 years; SME-level candidates require 14 or more years.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda.
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go scripting and programming.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with Git, Flux, JIRA, Confluence, and other development and deployment tools.
- Ability to work in Agile environments.
- Must obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must be available to work on-site 4–5 days per week with flexibility for customer needs.
- Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance; TS/SCI or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph is also accepted.
- Desired experience includes Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
