Base Salary
$100k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java-based applications and complex software solutions.
- Code, test, debug, document, prototype, and implement software applications.
- Collaborate with product owners, product teams, business analysts, and technology delivery management to gather and implement requirements.
- Develop new features, system enhancements, and improvements to increase system efficiency and resiliency.
- Monitor system improvements and resolve complex technical issues.
- Mentor team members and review their work for adherence to coding and security standards.
- Communicate and escalate issues to stakeholders and provide technical solutions for complex or ambiguous application development problems.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing prototypes and integrating third-party services.
- Strong experience with multithreading and networking protocols including TCP/IP, WebSocket, and Multicast.
- Practical experience with low-latency messaging middleware and high proficiency in a Linux environment.
- Experience with streaming technologies is highly desirable.
- Experience developing financial-market applications and knowledge of Equities, Futures, and Options is desirable.
- Experience with AMQ, Kafka, messaging brokers, and in-memory distributed caching solutions such as Hazel Cast is a plus.
- Practical experience with relational databases including Oracle and Sybase is a plus.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, Teams, and JIRA.
- Practical experience with the Scrum Framework and Agile methodologies.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
