$185k - $385k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and launch end-to-end image-generation and image-editing experiences within ChatGPT.
- Develop interactive frontend experiences for sophisticated AI capabilities.
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, and workflows for image creation, editing, storage, sharing, and retrieval.
- Partner with researchers to prototype and productionize multimodal capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Engineering teams on high-impact opportunities.
- Own projects from concept through launch, including technical design, implementation, experimentation, measurement, and iteration.
- Optimize frontend responsiveness and rendering as well as backend latency, reliability, and scalability.
- Design systems that support millions of users generating and interacting with visual content.
- Use experimentation and user insights to improve engagement, usability, quality, and product outcomes.
- Contribute to architecture, testing, observability, developer productivity, and operational excellence practices.
- Help define the roadmap for AI-powered creative tools and visual experiences.
Requirements
- Experience building and shipping production-grade applications across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with modern web technologies such as React, TypeScript, and contemporary frontend frameworks.
- Experience building scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Ability to own products and projects end to end, from technical design through launch and iteration.
- Strong product instincts and comfort using experimentation, metrics, and user feedback to guide decisions.
- Experience collaborating with researchers, designers, product managers, and data scientists.
- Interest in multimodal AI and creating new visual communication experiences.
- Experience with media platforms, creative tools, image processing, content creation products, or AI-powered applications is a plus.
