Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Code and test complex system components.
- Participate in code and design reviews.
- Work with other teams to deliver and operate large-scale distributed cloud services.
- Own system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Mentor other engineers and help define the team’s technical culture.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR, or Storm/Samza.
