Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory needs.
- Build and deploy proprietary risk-management solutions powered by AI technology.
- Collaborate with product managers and partners to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Use programming languages, relational and NoSQL databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to develop solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and enhance performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: 3+ years with databases and database management systems, cloud technologies, frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, and cloud-environment troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience with open source frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, observability, distributed-system performance optimization, mentoring engineers, cross-functional engineering leadership, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
