Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and operate distributed backend services and APIs.
- Take end-to-end ownership of platform work from problem framing to production support.
- Improve reliability, scalability, latency, and cost across shared platform systems.
- Collaborate with Product, SRE, and engineering teams to deliver platform improvements.
- Participate in on-call, incident response, and continuous improvement of systems.
- Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience building backend services and APIs in production.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or Go.
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native development on AWS and/or GCP.
- Proven production ownership, including deploying and monitoring high-scale services.
- Strong experience with data and messaging technologies like PostgreSQL, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
