Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, assess, and analyze modeling and simulation capabilities for training, analysis, mission planning, and rehearsal.
  • Lead software engineering changes and engineering activities within multidisciplinary development teams.
  • Provide technical strategies and recommendations, identify program risks and opportunities, and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with government sponsors and industry partners to define technical roadmaps and strategic goals.
  • Drive adoption of modern software engineering, agile, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Build sponsor relationships and author technical reports, executive briefings, and explanations of complex technical concepts.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, a PhD, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience in full-stack software development, modeling and simulation, DevSecOps, and/or model-based systems engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in multiple modern programming languages and advanced software design patterns.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and integrating complex hardware/software systems or system-of-systems architectures using systems engineering processes.
  • Demonstrated software development impact in government or industry and experience leading data-driven technical products in the military warfighting domain.
  • Experience engaging sponsors, establishing strategic partnerships, working autonomously, and leading through ambiguity.
  • Active Secret U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship eligibility are required.
  • Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, TS/SCI clearance, military simulation experience, web application development, geospatial data integration, 3D asset and game-engine workflows, Army systems experience, and at least 5 years working across Army organizations with expert-level software engineering knowledge.
