Responsibilities
- Establish core cloud security solutions across RBC’s cloud environments.
- Design and build automated cloud security services using infrastructure as code and test-driven development principles.
- Implement SRE practices to improve operational processes and reliability.
- Support cloud security applications, configurations, and integrations across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
- Assess cloud patterns for adherence to security best practices and controls.
- Develop security coverage reports to identify gaps and improve cloud security strategy.
- Lead and participate in delivering end-to-end integrated solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support of critical systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and implementing security architectures and/or engineering across cloud or security domains.
- 5+ years of experience with Python, Java, Go, or another modern programming language.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure or AWS.
- 3+ years of experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools including ARM, CFN, and Terraform, with demonstrated Terraform skill.
- Experience with container tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with modern software engineering, DevOps, and SRE practices.
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog is preferred.
- Experience with CSPM, DSPM, or ASPM tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of technical security controls and compliance frameworks including CSA CCM, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and NIST CSF is preferred.
- Ability to stay current with security trends and AI technologies.
