Responsibilities
- Support IAM strategy development and technology roadmaps in partnership with security engineering, enterprise architecture, and information security teams.
- Design and engineer enhancements and upgrades to existing IAM platforms.
- Produce enterprise-level designs addressing business, application, security, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Execute IAM projects and solutions with operations, information security, architecture, and project management teams.
- Serve as a final escalation point for IAM services and supporting utilities.
- Provide application support and troubleshoot issues that cannot be resolved by lower-tier support teams.
- Resolve application, software, and hardware issues with IAM partners and supporting teams.
- Create and maintain installation, configuration, and troubleshooting documentation for IAM services and affiliated technologies.
- Design and implement solutions to meet audit and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate vendor products and provide technical consultation to application teams.
- Train junior engineers and operations teams on IAM services as required.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, or related technology roles.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management and experience with multiple third-party IAM platforms and solutions.
- Expert knowledge of SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth, LDAP, Kerberos, and related industry standards and protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Java Spring, and SQL.
- Experience developing APIs, integrations, or application components using Python, Java, or related technologies.
- Exposure to AI and generative AI technologies, including LLMs, document automation, intelligent search, or workflow automation.
- Knowledge of relational databases and familiarity with source control, testing, monitoring, deployment, and CI/CD practices.
- Working knowledge of cryptography, LAN, WAN, firewall, and VPN technologies, including monitoring and support practices.
- Ability to advise application developers on effective use of IAM technologies.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and their implications for identity management, security, and audit compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
