Responsibilities

  • Design and improve MFA, phone-based 2FA, email verification, SSO, session management, device validation, and OAuth client-provisioning experiences.
  • Maintain and optimize core identity services, organizational structures, multi-user management systems, RBAC, family accounts, and authorization systems.
  • Implement identity and security protocols to protect Lyft users and prevent fraud, phishing, social engineering, unauthorized driving, and recycled-phone abuse.
  • Write well-tested, readable, scalable, and maintainable code while promoting engineering best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, obtain buy-in, and contribute to identity and account-security initiatives.
  • Share technical knowledge through brown bags, tech talks, and engineering-practice advocacy.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of engineering experience with stacks such as Python, Go, or Java.
  • Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
  • Ability to write clear, scalable design documentation.
  • Relevant experience mentoring engineers.
