Base Salary
$160k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term roadmap for cloud, container, and edge security programs.
- Manage edge and bot protection, including WAF, CDN, and DDoS mitigation.
- Perform security-focused infrastructure, architecture, threat modeling, and risk reviews.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, vulnerability scanning, and automated enforcement for cloud and container environments.
- Own container image security, including base-image remediation and production gating for non-compliant images.
- Embed security controls and scanners into CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Lead infrastructure-as-code security and runtime protection initiatives.
- Identify and resolve security control gaps across cloud, container, and network infrastructure.
- Support incident response with cloud security expertise and develop proactive remediation tooling.
- Track DevSecOps KPIs and mentor engineers while establishing technical security standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, or similar roles.
- Experience owning security programs or initiatives end-to-end and influencing teams outside the reporting line.
- Expertise with GCP, AWS, Azure, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.
- Experience with cloud and container security tooling.
- Strong understanding of WAFs, bot mitigation, API gateways, and CDN security features.
- Experience performing secure design and architecture reviews.
- Proficiency with Terraform, OpenTofu, Helm, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools and integrating security scanners into pipelines.
- Preferred experience with Crossplane and CrowdStrike, cloud networking, database management, and relevant Kubernetes or cloud security certifications.
