Responsibilities
- Guide software products and platforms from a security perspective through architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Own security challenges across multiple product teams, provide technical direction, and implement solutions when needed.
- Create threat models and security assessments and track identified risks through mitigation or formal risk decisions.
- Assess security risks in AI- and LLM-based product features and services and define guardrails and controls.
- Establish lightweight, risk-based security review gates in the development process.
- Support security integration of acquired or newly connected products and their migration to shared platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and local and global security stakeholders to implement consistent, risk-based security measures.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software architectures and Secure SDLC principles.
- Experience with threat modeling methods and security architecture reviews.
- Ability to assess source code, repositories, and CI/CD configurations for security vulnerabilities.
- Understanding of security risks in AI- and LLM-based applications and relevant countermeasures, including the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.
- Knowledge of standards and regulatory requirements including ISO 27001, the Cyber Resilience Act, GDPR, BSI C5, and OWASP, with the ability to translate them into practical requirements.
- Several years of professional experience in application security, product security, cloud security, security engineering, or software development with a strong security focus.
- Completed degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or a comparable professional qualification.
- Very strong written and spoken German and English communication skills.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-focused environments, penetration testing, remediation of penetration-testing findings, relevant certifications, and international cross-functional collaboration are advantageous.
