Responsibilities
- Define test coverage and scope from acceptance criteria for robust automated and exploratory testing.
- Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and data-validation tests for ETL processes, data warehouses, and ingestion pipelines.
- Write complex SQL queries to compare source and target data and validate transformation logic.
- Develop automated test scripts using Python, Java, or specialized testing tools.
- Check data accuracy, integrity, completeness, and anomalies across complex data pipelines.
- Create test plans, test cases, and defect documentation, tracking issues through resolution in JIRA.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, operations, business teams, and stakeholders to troubleshoot data issues and align quality goals.
- Improve testing processes, methodologies, and CI/CD automation to enhance software quality.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience is stated for the role; the posting also references typically 2–5+ years in QA or ETL testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript.

- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium and PyTest, as well as manual testing techniques.

- Ability to perform functional, performance, security, integration, regression, and exploratory testing and collaborate across technical and business teams.
