Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Partner with architects, security engineers, SRE and operations teams, compliance experts, and business stakeholders to define monitoring and auditing requirements.
- Implement and refine metrics, logs, alerts, monitoring, and audit capabilities for operational visibility, incident detection, response, availability, and forensic readiness.
- Integrate logging and monitoring pipelines with SIEM, EDR, dashboards, and related platforms while ensuring data quality, coverage, and usability.
- Respond to alerts and tune alert thresholds to reduce noise while maintaining coverage for security and operational events.
- Use generative AI and AI-assisted security tooling to improve investigations, threat detection, automation, and security engineering workflows.
- Participate in on-call and weekend shifts as needed.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required due to FedRAMP compliance obligations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in security operations, monitoring, or related cybersecurity roles.
- Practical experience with logging, monitoring, SIEM, and dashboarding tools such as AWS GuardDuty, Sumo Logic, Grafana, CrowdStrike, DataDog, Splunk, or Thycotic.
- Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of log collection, aggregation, downstream integration, telemetry pipelines, and alert configuration and tuning.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework or Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain is preferred.
- Understanding of security and operational challenges in large-scale distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenStack.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, GSEC, or CISSP are preferred.
- Familiarity with F5 products and services such as BIG-IP, NGINX, WAF, DDoS, or application security solutions is preferred.

- Annual base pay is listed as $104,700.00-$157,100.00, excluding incentive compensation, bonuses, restricted stock units, and benefits.
