Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, maintain, and support the Internal Developer Platform end to end.
- Build self-service workflows, service catalogue entries, scaffolders, and golden path templates.
- Integrate the IDP with Kairos, Nexus, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Build and maintain developer-facing platform tooling, documentation, guides, and enablement materials.
- Support product development teams and enable them to self-serve infrastructure, services, and deployment pipelines.
- Contribute to platform standards, architectural decisions, and the IDP roadmap.
- Identify and resolve platform reliability and performance issues.
- Collaborate with the Platform Lead and adjacent Base Tech, Auth, and Nexus platform teams.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience building or operating Internal Developer Platforms in production.
- Practical experience with Backstage, Port, Cortex, or comparable IDP tooling.
- Experience implementing service catalogues, scaffolders, golden paths, and self-service infrastructure workflows.
- Experience integrating IDPs with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Strong hands-on engineering capability across Go, React with Next.js, Apache Kafka or Redpanda, and PostgreSQL, or the ability to develop that capability quickly.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, DevOps toolchains, event-driven architecture, Kubernetes in production, containers, and GitOps.
- Strong understanding of developer experience principles and platform engineering.
- Ability to work across platform and product team boundaries and support development teams.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping production AI applications.
- Candidates must have personally implemented, tested, automated, and supported production platform capabilities; architecture, administration, configuration alone, or only CI/CD, cloud administration, monitoring, and incident response experience is insufficient.
