Responsibilities
- Contribute to Aeva’s production 4D perception stack.
- Prototype, implement, and rapidly iterate on novel perception algorithms.
- Optimize code for performance and scalability.
- Follow coding standards and best practices to maintain code quality and consistency.
- Own assigned tasks through timely completion, documentation, and testing.
Requirements
- Require 3+ years of experience creating and deploying real-time perception systems.
- Require an MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar relevant program.
- Require experience with object detection, clustering, filtering, occupancy grids, data association, and tracking algorithms.
- Require experience with Kalman filtering, Bayesian methods, and sensor fusion using LiDAR, IMU, GNSS, and cameras.
- Require experience with 3D data and representations such as point clouds, meshes, and trees.
- Require strong fundamentals in linear algebra and 3D geometry.
- Require highly skilled C++ development and Linux experience.
- Require scripting experience with Python and Bash.
- Prefer knowledge of RADAR or LiDAR operating principles.
- Prefer experience with robotics or autonomous vehicle frameworks such as ROS or ROS2.
- Prefer experience with runtime optimization techniques including parallelization, vectorization, and cache-friendly development.
- Prefer experience with modern build systems such as Bazel or similar tools.
