Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate production trading systems across Linux hosts and network infrastructure, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and troubleshooting.
- Build and extend monitoring, alerting, deployment, and testing tooling using Grafana, Wireshark, Ansible, and pytest.
- Optimize software and hardware performance for latency, throughput, and jitter, including C++ work and hardware testing.
- Interface with external venue and counterparty systems, identify failure patterns, and propose resilience improvements.
- Make real-time risk/reward decisions affecting live trading and help traders and other non-technical users navigate those decisions.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience in production engineering, site reliability engineering, systems administration, or a related field.
- Comfort with Linux file and process management, system troubleshooting, debugging, configuration, and networking.
- Strong command of Python for backend development and the ability to write clean, efficient, Pythonic code.
- Understanding of infrastructure as code and a GitOps mindset.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with C++ and experience with high-performance networking, including low deterministic latency, high throughput, minimal jitter, kernel bypass, hardware timestamping, multicast, or cut-through switches, are preferred.
