$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build innovative and scalable systems that improve Amazon developer productivity.
- Develop foundational software that interprets, compiles, and optimizes code for parallel and asynchronous execution and efficient data access.
- Work backward from developer needs to shape the future of software development at Amazon.
- Influence system design, technical strategy, and underlying technology choices.
- Mentor engineers or lead engineering teams and contribute to architecture and reliability decisions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
